The bracelet came last. We had the case profile and we had the dial, and for a long stretch neither of them wanted the links we kept putting under them.
What finally worked was letting the taper do the talking. Each link steps down by a fraction you would not notice on the bench, and notice immediately on the wrist.
On flow
Yanagawa’s canals move slowly enough that you can watch a single donkobune pass an entire wall of weathered timber. That pace is what we were after: something that reads as still until you follow it.
